No time to gen up, so a pin, a hunch and somewhat gay liking for colours or name for me.

Line up is surprisingly cack for a grand tour which means it will be entertaining hopefully! What stage will Richie Porte have a race ending crash? Have any sprinters even bothered? Just how bad will the tv coverage be? All the usual vuelta stuff. Looking forward to it.

Last minute team reshuffle done. This race is wide open, you could make a goodish case for about ten in the GC.

Here you go. An Iberian league for us over-entitled lycra-arsed, red-light jumping, pavement-mounting, seven-abreast cycling Nazis.

It looks like there is a velogames.com version of the fantasy "spain" as they call it. I've picked a team so hope Dan can get the WHO league code working?

Oh, and that ride sounds brilliant. Fair play to you.

Re: 2018 Cycling & Fantasy Leagues
Cheers Dan, ended up finishing 35th in the world which is certainly a lot better than I was expecting. No idea how many people entered though, probably about 200 or something.

Cheers again for organising it. See you for the vuelta? Not sure if Velogames will be doing it, got a cryptic message saying they still existed but begging for cash. Doesn't sound good.

Also, massive congrats to G. What a race he rode!

Got to give props to Froome for taking it like a man, evidently admitting he didn't have the legs and being a team player. Looked happy for G.

Re: 2018 Cycling & Fantasy Leagues
That grid start was fucking retarded and utterly pointless. Hope they move on from that and never do it again.

Re: 2018 Cycling & Fantasy Leagues
Well done Vexed for leading from the 1st stage to the last. Chapeau also to zeb for a spirited second place.

As for me, on Saturday I rode in a 200-strong peleton around the Arc de Triomphe, down the Champs and round to the Tower )https://twitter.com/SirArthurIndeed/status/1023195953287888897) as the gendarmerie stopped the traffic for us. People waving, cheering, high fiving and taking photos and videos. One of the greatest experiences of my life, though trying to control a road bike over cobbles while crying is a tad difficult.

On top of that, our gathering point to form the peleton coincided with a wedding, so for a mile or so we were lead out by the bride and groom dancing in a convertible Rolls-Royce.

If you enjoy riding a bike I thoroughly recommend doing a London to Paris tour. Not sure I fancy following two of the group by continuing to Geneva and then to Nice. Bon chance to them.

Re: 2018 Cycling & Fantasy Leagues
I read that AG2R had the wrong tyres on for the pave stage hence all the punctures and crashes.
Also the one time they tried to animate the race Pierre Latour ended up blowing Bardet's legs off.
The marginal losses tactic.

Losing all the sprinters was fucking stupid, though
